📏 How Many Grids Do I Need?
Each grid covers approximately 0.22 m², and 4 grids = 1 m². Use these common project examples to estimate your order:
- Garden shed base (2m × 3m = 6 m²): 24 grids
- Small car parking space (2.5m × 5m = 12.5 m²): 50 grids
- Standard driveway (3m × 6m = 18 m²): 72 grids

Tip: Add 5–10% extra to allow for cutting and edge trimming. Grids can be easily cut with a saw.

🔧 Installation Guide
- Prepare the base — excavate to 100–150mm depth. Compact the sub-base with MOT Type 1 or similar aggregate.
- Lay weed control fabric — place water-permeable woven weed control fabric over the base to prevent weed growth and stabilise the surface.
- Click grids together — TrueGrid uses a proven interlocking connection system. Simply click each grid into the next, working row by row.
- Cut to fit edges — use a hand saw or jigsaw to trim grids to fit around borders and obstacles.
- Fill the cells — fill with your chosen material: grass turf, gravel, pea shingle, soil, or sand depending on your application.
- Compact and finish — lightly compact the fill material and the installation is complete.
For vehicle use, ensure the sub-base is adequately compacted to support the intended load. Consult a groundworks professional for heavy-duty applications.
